Masdevallia strobelii

This orchid species is also from Ecuador and is very highly scented, perfuming the whole room where I grow my orchids. The flowers are also notable for the glandular hairs that line the inner surfaces of the flowers and which can be seen in the photo. The species has been much used in hybridizing.
