Eine der Sehenswürdigkeiten in der nordnorwegischen Stadt Tromsø ist die 1965 erbaute Ishavskatedralen (Eismeerkathedrale). Das nach oben spitz zulaufende Bauwerk will mit seiner äußeren Form an die Trockenfisch-Gestelle erinnern, denen man an den Küsten des Nordmeers überall begegnen kann.

Man lernt nie aus, lieber Percy! Seit den 1980er Jahren sind wir immer wieder nach Norwegen gefahren, und immer wiede habe ich die Eismeerkathedrale bewundert. Jedoch zum ersten Mal lese ich eine Erklärung zu ihrer unverwechselbaren Architektur, vielenDank!
