I just learned recently that cattails are edible if you scrape the furry stuff off and boil the white core. Remember that when you are stranded by a wilderness lake with no food!

This must be a 1960s model, but I couldn't match it exactly with photos on Google Image.

Free fireworks from www.videvo.net/search/fireworks . The FBI and all other law enforcement agencies are on high alert for more violence, even organized militia-type attacks. There continues to be lots of online "chatter" among right-wing groups. This will be with us for quite some time, but we now have a government willing and able to forcefully deal with it. We are all half-expecting some attempt by trump to go out with a bang. Personally, I'm just hoping he blasts off. One great relief is that Trump is banned from Twitter, Snapchat and Facebook. Those social platforms have been scared into finally taking their responsibilities seriously.

I'm not sure whether these are females or young males. The one on the right does appear to have started some pronghorns growing.

The decorations at these houses in the poor part of town were kind of touching. I liked this glowing ball, like a snow globe.

This was in the poorest part of town. The decorations were very simple and I liked them.
