Destroyed

This photo is from a GoFundMe page. The grandmother of Travis'* girlfriend had a farm northeast of Klamath Falls, which has just been destroyed by the "Bootleg Fire." It's a very big, fast-moving one that grew from a few hundred acres the first day to nearly 77,000 acres (31161 hectares) four days later! I don't know yet if she got all of her animals out. I'm afraid to ask. Everything was destroyed, as you see.
I am sick about it. She is the sweetest person and has raised two grandchildren while putting all her resources into her 142 acre farm. The destruction caused by these droughts and fires every year is breaking my heart.

Firefighters have had to escape to safety zones due to extreme heat and wind in addition to the fire itself. Conditions were life-threatening for them, as well as residents and tourists in the area.

EDIT 12 July This is the fire my son is on, called the Beckworth Complex (meaning several fires merged into a mega-fire). It shows a fire tornado overtaking a crew in a base camp. Warning - strong language. www.instagram.com/p/CRK6yQoFXYq This is in Plumas County, NE California..
