I hate to think of all those seedlings incarcerated there.

Our Fir tree most probably came from Ashe County, NC since it was purchased as a live Christmas tree by the previous owners of our home.
None of my neighbors recall when they planted it !
"Seems like it has always been there" .. the comment usually received ..

They are beautiful trees .. when we drive to Ashe County, that is one of the main things I photograph ... acres and acres of these beautiful trees.

Douglas firs have a strange look when mature - long, bare trunk with sparse branches up high. Here are some Oregonians doing a tree spirit dance aroung young Doug firs...or something...

Nope. I've never seen one in Oregon, but I suppose they can grow in a few spots.

It looks very sterile for being a tree nursery.

It's wholesale, not retail, so it's really just a tree factory.

Oh, interesting, Diane! :) Now, for a much better experience, .8 miles from this location is Cook Woods...full of amazing, mouth-wateringly cool exotic woods, even if you're not a woodworking one can appreciate the gorgeous woods from all over the world. One of my favorite places by far!

I've driven by there many times (worked briefly at Open Door clinic), just never occurred to me to check it out. Now you've given me the idea - thanks!
