Yes, a new batch blowing in after 1/2 day of a little blue sky. Breathing is not easy some days, but much worse to the west and south of here. People are getting desperate for a break, none is in sight. I heard on the news that it's possible this will last until sometime in October. Thanks for the star!

Very sorry to hear the reports of the hot dry summer and fires. Your comment above spells out the issue even more clearly. With major droughts here, I fear similar problems come our summer.

Today, I read about the serious situation in Australia, specifically in NSW. Catastrophic. To think of all the livestock that will die and ranches that will go out of business, it's heartbreaking. Yes, I've thought of my old friend, Australia, and that summer of conflagration you have a few years ago. How will we survive this if not enough gets done to prevent further climate damage? We won't.

It's even worse down here (Reno-Carson City area). And, when we drove back from Colorado last weekend, it was hazy from mid-Utah on! I'm gonna get serious about clearing our yard--

Oooh, you'd better! I don't have anything to clear, it's just regular town landscaping, but the lawns are dying. I hand-carry enough water outside to keep a few plants alive, because the apartment sprinklers haven't been turned on for two weeks. Our little peek of blue sky is history, back to yellow sky. Oh, yeah, Reno would be getting smoke full-blast. It's awful travelling weather, even with an air conditioned car.
