Just looked this up and discovered we call them that, too! I had no idea. A quote from the website: "The Black Baldy is generally known for docility and good nature, though not for intelligence." Are there any cattle known for intelligence?

My great aunt had a cow in her Cornish field called Moossec. My French school exchange partner (we would have been about 14) was studying Camus at school and had a copy of 'L'etranger' with him. He used to read Moossec a few paragraphs (in French) at a time and was convinced that she was chewing the cud with him in a most existentialist manner! :o)
