Hmm... somehow I doubt they're union-made -- their website doesn't say anything about a union connection.

Maybe named after some other uses of the word: the Union of marriage...Union Pacific Railroad...Union troops...Soviet Union...or, just found this: www.unioncreekoregon.com and this: store.unionlosangeles.com

Hmm, just looked them up. The were founded in 1850, so that rules out the Civil War unless the north or the whole country called itself "The Union" in 1850, and it certainly rules out labor unions. I'm not doing anymore research on this darned wheelbarrow. ; b
