Diane, I understand what do you mean, I love the fine arts but you know I'm interesting to photograph also lost places, old and abandoned cars, rusty metal.....however I've seen pictures from Oregon at internet: there are beautiful landscapes also!!

Yes, there are beautiful landscapes, I agree. I guess I was talking more about the feeling of ancient culture and aesthetic beauty of the art in Italy. It has a kind of dreamy softness. This part of Oregon is a harsh, masculine place, as you can see in my photographs. I guess we are all interested in what we DON'T have!
