A real fun photo:-) Has nobody told your brother to sit upright when playing? ;-)

Thanks! Too late to tell him that, he's been playing guitar, banjo and mandolin since then!

This is wonderful to see. The treasured moments of music sharing in an age that was much more gentle.
Thank you for sharing, Diane

Hello, Diana! Thank you very much, I am glad you are entertained by "the family band." You will notice I was not a member. : b

Looks like one of those organs they sold in the 60's with all sorts of switches for artificial sounds to make you sound like a 'symphony'...

This was an "old-school" organ. No special effects, but there were some slider knobs (she's using one on her left) and other things along the top that changed the tone. As I recall, it was something like changing from "church organ" sound to "jazz organ." Nothing fancy like drum or trumpet sounds. The 1950s one she had at her house was a huge Hammond and had a large array of foot pedals. I have no clue how all of it worked.

Wonderful to think back on family music time. I wonder if it still happens? Unfortunately, from what I read it seems that 'family' anything is disappearing.

Yes, just observing my son's family life, it seems fragmented. Over-scheduling of activities, etc.
