The famous Coca Cola sign
This is what a Sydney travel agent told me: Coca Cola Corp. tried to pull this sign out of Sydney a few years ago due to the cost of maintaining it. The sign had been there for many decades. The city said, "Nope, sorry, it's been declared a Heritage Landmark." So, they have to keep maintaining it. Yay, Sydney! Why I didn't get a shot of it at night, I have no idea.

Haha! Hey, it really lights up the neighborhood! Coca Cola was going to take it down after it had been there since the 1950s, but Sydney residents said "No! It's now a Heritage landmark!" So, Coca Cola is forced to maintain it. ; )
