Rabbit brush

This is grey rabbit brush, but there is also a green species which occupies the same habitat all over the driest parts of the western US. It looks similar to sagebrush, but is not related. I think it's prettiest in winter, when the fluffy seeds replace the bright yellow blossoms. science.halleyhosting.com/nature/basin/sun/shrub/ericameria/ericameria.htm
