El Puente de Vizcaya (Bizkaiko Zubia en euskera), también conocido como Puente Bizkaia, Puente colgante, Puente de Portugalete, o Puente colgante de Portugalete, es un puente transbordador de peaje, concebido, diseñado y construido por iniciativa privada entre 1887 y 1893, que une las dos márgenes de la ría de Bilbao en Vizcaya (España). Esta construcción de ingeniería civil fue inaugurada el 28 de julio de 1893, siendo el primer puente de su tipología en el mundo​ y uno de los ocho que aún se conservan. (Wikipedia)

Una imagen fuerte e impactante. es magnífica con el broche del relámpago. Tienes razón en los datos, pero el nombre de Portugalete supongo que germinó por la canción más que por otro mérito, porque la cabina de mando siempre estuvo en Las Arenas (Getxo), las estatuas, museo, así como sus oficinas en la calle Barria de Las Arenas; viví enfrente.
