En el horizonte el monte Oiz con sus generadores eólicos. En ese monte el 19 de febrero de 1985 un Boeing 727 de la compañía española Iberia apodado "Alhambra de Granada", que realizaba el vuelo regular 610 (IB-610) entre Madrid y Bilbao, chocó con la antena de Euskal Telebista instalada en el monte Oiz durante las maniobras de aterrizaje. Fallecieron las 148 personas que viajaban a bordo.
