➽ Die US-Garnison Augsburg bestand von 1945 bis 1998. In dieser Zeit waren verschiedene Einheiten der US Army in Augsburg stationiert, u.a. die 66th Military Intelligence Brigade, die heute in Wiesbaden stationiert ist.
Teile der 66th MIB (siehe auch "notes") nehmen auch heute noch gerne am alljährlichen Plärrerumzug teil (hiervon die obigen Fotos aus den vergangenen Jahren). ➽ Original size

➽ The US-Garnison Augsburg existed from 1945 to 1998. During this time, various units of the US Army were stationed in Augsburg, including the 66th Military Intelligence Brigade , which is stationed in Wiesbaden today.
Parts of the 66th MIB (see notes) are still happy to take part in the annual "Plärrer" (folk festival) parade (of which the photos above from previous years). ➽ Original size

...davon kannst ausgehen - die waren damals schon immer aufm Plärrer, deswegen nehmens wahrscheinlich noch immer gerne am Umzug teil. Ich war früher lieber aufm Deutsch-Amerikanischen Volksfest, das gibts leider seit 98 nimmer! Da gabs geniale Burger, Maiskolben, Krautsalat und auch schon Häagen-Dazs, lange bevors bei uns in die Supermärkte kam.
