➽ Die Skulptur "Ostern" des Künstlerehepaares Matschinsky-Denninghoff besteht aus Chromnickelstahl-Röhren und symbolisiert den auferstandenen Jesus mit erhobenen Armen vor dem Grabhügel. ➽ Siehe auch PiP (anklickbar)
Als die Skulptur 1990 errichtet wurde, konnten viele mit dem Namen Ostern nichts anfangen. Ein paar Witzbolde stellten einen Wäschetrockner samt Abluftschlauch daneben und brachten ein Schild mit der Aufschrift "Pfingsten" daran an!

When the sculpture was erected in 1990, many didn't understand what the name Easter meant. A few wags put a tumble dryer and exhaust hose next to it and put a sign on it saying "Pentecost"!

Herzlichen Dank, Gudrun - ja, das ging damals vielen Augsburgern auch so, daher wohl auch der "Pfingsten"-Scherz! Aber man kann schon einen "Auferstandenen" mit erhobenen Armen erkennen - im PiP evtl. besser ersichtlich ! ;-DD

Der Titel passt. Schöne Nachtfarben, gefällt mir gut. Das PiP ist auch sehr schön geworden.
Zum Wäschetrockner ist zu sagen, dass es doch Menschen gibt, die mit moderner Kunst nichts anfangen können und denen es zusätzlich an Toleranz fehlt. Gerade letzteres ist fehl am Platz zu Ostern.

In diesem Sinne wünsche ich Dir ein frohes Ostern.

Freut mich, dass es dir gefällt, Leo - und Toleranz fehlt leider sehr oft, aber ich muss sagen, die "Pfingsten"-Aktion fand ich echt lustig! Oft werden Skulpturen ja beschmiert oder beschädigt, das find ich schlimmer!

Ha, der Wäschetrockner hätte von mir sein können.
Die Skulptur gefällt mir sogar sehr schön, nur was das mit Ostern zu tun hat, dafür reicht mein Handwerkerlatain nicht :-)).

...anfangs hab ich's auch nicht verstanden, aber eigentlich isses eine einfache Darstellung des auferstandenen Jesu - der wird nämlich oft mit erhobenen Armen über oder neben seinem Grabhügel dargestellt, das muss man aber wissen, um es zu erkennen! ;-DD

In Hannover habt ihr ja auch eine solche Skulptur, hab ich im Link gesehen! ;-DD
