Everyone knows the original photo by Lewis W. Hine, over 20 years ago I found this variation on a flea market.
A little URK for me this week, I caught a feverish cold and had also a lot of work, so that I almost missed the challenge. Early today I took quickly a shot of this poster, unfortunately the photo is soooo much failed - so I had to rework it "a bit"! (but see PiP - it's really on my wall!) (◕‿-)

keiner von denen hätte beim Bau des Empire State Buildings wohl mitgeholfen - ok - vielleicht Lory - der Ipernity-Gorilla :-))

soweit ich weiß waren die 11 auf dem Original Immigranten ... in New York gab es keine schwindelfreien Bauarbeiter :-)

Ja, ich glaube du hast Recht, ich mein, in einer Doku mal gesehen zu haben, dass die "Iron worker" Einwanderer waren - aber irgendwie sind sie das ja fast alle, drüben! ;-DD

viele Arbeiter waren auch indianischer Herkunft .

Seit *sehr vielen Jahren* begleitet mich folgendes Filmposter -> Goldrausch
früher in der Bude hatte es einen konkreten Grund das zu wählen ;-)) heute hängt es gerahmt im Gäste-WC :-D

...das kann man auch mit Brüütsche oder Röggelsche machen! Ich müßte da halt dann Röggli nehmen, oder Römerle! ;-DD

...hab ich mir schon so gedacht, mit der Heizung! ;-D Aber - gar nicht vorhanden, oder nur kein Moos für Kohle, oder so?? ;-D

Toilette, Küche und Schlafzimmer hatte keine Heizung :-// Die Studentenbude war eine umgebaute Wollkammer - im Winter gabs das Eis in allen Zimmern fingerdick an der Innenseite.
ja Moos war auch sehr knapp - aber - war trotzdem eine geile Zeit...
Und der Chaplin hält die Erinnerung wach :-D

Kann man sich heute gar nicht mehr vorstellen, aber bei meiner Oma war's damals noch ähnlich - nur das Wohnzimmer war geheizt, mit Kohleofen. Der ging natürlich nachts irgendwann aus und in der Früh war's auch eiskalt, inkl. Eisblumen am Fenster! War auch schön!

LOL - Chris!

Normally I've no fear of heights, if any safety is there, but to balance on such steel beams is something else. Therefore the original photos from the construction of the Empire State Building are fascinating, not only the workers had to be absolutely free from giddiness, also the photographer!
