The line to the Isles

This is almost the end of the West Highland Line as it makes its way to the small town of Mallaig only about 1km from here. At times a steam train would be speeding through but not today unfortunately. The distant coastline is the Isle of Skye. "The line to the Isles"; so called because once off at the terminus you are at the harbour and ferry to the Isle of Skye and the Small Islands.
