Thanks for these great words Füsun. I was just finishing my set of photos when I spied this girl too. How the legs of her tripod kept level I do not know in that very soft sand. Maybe she got better photos than I did, you might tell later.

When we see other people capturing light like this we are all a bit jealous Lutz. Because I was staying so near (only 200metres away) I could come here as soon as I saw the light like this. A wonderful moment for sure. ~ Herb

Utterly wonderful Herb! The view, the light, especially where reflected on the wet sand and the gorgeous colours, have all come together beautifully..!! I love the silhouetted photographer (and her reflection on the sand) and she is perfectly positioned in the frame.

I had just finished taking my series of pictures and I thought this girl would be taking the same but no she went further out onto the sands to get a pure sunset. I was not going to post this as at first as I thought it not as good as my originals but when I saw it big on here, maybe this was the winner by far. You will be able to judge yourself in due course.

Hi Andy, as said before you are missing out on Ireland but such a talented photographer as you, not to have owned a tripod is almost criminal but I guess it all depends on your camera, lenses and photo topics. I have three and a monopod! Anyway -very pleased you enjoyed this -which in reality was also done hand-held :)

That I can vouch for that there is nothing like wet sand under these conditions. Soft wet sand is a killer you just have to level later only real way not unless you have sand boots. you captured the colours just perfectly there is no better way to end the day. you may well have kept dry feet but the waves may have looked better on a longer shot. love this my self from NZ when I got wet sand.

our sand is not fine enough to hold water . hope you got a chip full.

Thank you for this Steve. I think perhaps my feet were a little wet but the sand I was on was dryer than the stuff she was on. She was probably after a shot like this one of yours which is excellent. I had taken some of the sea on a longer exposure but I was not entirely happy with them. This taken, just after I had packed away my tripod and filter and was heading back up the hill to our cottage here. Yes, I took many of this light and hope to share more here shortly.

I really like this!

Superb colours and great composition to include the lady. So your pictures are probably better... (unless you reciprocated roles..)
My guess is that she's running a low ISO to get a few seconds exposure, and hence some ethereal misty effect off the water...

Hi Peter and apologies for not answering immediately. (I did read it but then got distracted.) One of my other photos now posted too but my best still to come (I think) but it is all in the eye of the beholder. I did not think much of this at first but seeing it on here now makes me think that the human element certainly adds to an already great scene and so this might well be counted as the best in the end. I took some slow exposure ones too but not of the general scene in this lighting so she might well have done better there :) Glad you are liking them anyway.
