Fighting Dragons Of Ara Panorama NGC6188
After my last accidental panorama I thought I should at lest attempt a proper panorama.

The unlikely match

this is a two shot vertical panorama of the whole area around the Dragon's as well. I did this as I was able to shoot two whole nights in a row one night each panel some 61 shots each 10 min. this was mostly edited in PIxInsight stitched with PTGui that I have used for years to do all the milky way bows put the two photos together straight up. as you can see have been able to over come the filter colour in this shot.

you know I understand you comment this is quite a capture very spectacular part of the sky. I always wanted to shot these as more landscape so we get to feel they are real. my vision of an island of light in the middle of black worked as I had hoped many thanks.

Peter sadly we have seen so little of the stars let alone the moon as we are totally clouded in, I was keen but no chance to get the eclipse. I was able to get this the following nights as compensation I did know how I wanted my astro photo to look so had to set out to learn how to take and process them. The good part is I can now pay it forward and this week I will try and do this as well, teach some one else....

I prefer to show these nebula's as a landscape with some back ground so they look real out in space which the ultra close does not give you. It is a very dramatic and colour full part of the milky way but small. I have plenty to take but clouds not helping or rain. still there is always next year.

Thanks George .It really is better an astro camera than a DSLR in the city because of pollution from the lights. the filter in the train removes all that but not so in the DSLR I tried one sent it back for refund, out of the city the DSLR shines as well. It is worth doing the job right and I believe that PixInsight goes a long way to make the photos better as well from what I have seen. I hope to slowly improve and this technical way of getting a single photo I will also use when I can string two night together.I agree it looks stunning on my 55 inch OLED TV screen as well.
