Tarantula Nebula NGC 2070

Tarantula Nebula NGC 2070
This is only seen in the Southern hemisphere as this is right next to the Large Magellanic Cloud which you can see top most of the photo the white area. Which I will have to wait to get higher in the sky away from the City lights. First night I tried to get this the weather did not help the photos so I had to delete them all and start again. A very busy place in the sky. the white dot on the top side of the photo of the LMC

Large Magallenic Cloud

Taken with ZWO CMOS camera and getting Fits files. 55 Files 5 min files Shot With ZWO ASI071MC Pro @ -10c and ZWO AEF, Optolong LeNhance filter, Guided PHD2, Stacked DSS. Processed PixinSight , PS and Lr.

Xata, Berny, Jörg, and 10 other people have particularly liked this photo

a great picture Steve, it is beyond what one can do with a normal DSRL.

Your deep sky shots just get better and better Steve. As Ko says, quite beyond what we folk pointing our DSLR's to the sky's can ever hope for. As you say too, even if we had the technology we could not find this in our northern sky's. Thanks for sharing.

Take care. Herb

Its quite a sight when you see it, It is so busy in this area. I have yet to get the LMC again with this set up Some thing I will do. I am not so sure DSLR can not take this I 100% believe it can I just dont have a 900mm scope to go with the Full Frame camera below 420mm lens and 600mm scope both captured with FF Nikon camera.

Orion(M42) & Running Man(NGC1977) - well worth a look full screen on black

Carina NGC3372- Do look at this large

Both DSLR from my home as well. I used CMOS as it gave me a 900mm view out of the 600mm scope. two things important mount and your control over it.
