La chiesa di San Bernardino alle Ossa è una chiesa di Milano, situata in piazza Santo Stefano. Citata in passato anche come San Bernardino ai Morti, la chiesa è conosciuta per il suo ossario, le cui pareti sono per gran parte ricoperte da ossa a formare vere e proprie decorazioni.

San Bernardino alle Ossa is a church in Milan, northern Italy, best known for its ossuary, a small side chapel decorated with numerous human skulls and bones.
In 1210, when an adjacent cemetery ran out of space, a room was built to hold bones. A church was attached in 1269. Renovated in 1679, it was destroyed by a fire in 1712. A new bigger church was then attached to the older one and dedicated to Saint Bernardino of Siena.

I love it too. I don't think there are such kind of ossuary now, Nicolas. In Italy , or I should say where I live half of the people is cremated. I remember a time in Switzerland when I was 13 . Whe took a house for 2 months and the house was near a church . You passed through the underground of the church and it was full of bones. I wonder if it's the same now.
