Never seen before.

I have never seen a sandhill crane sitting on the nest. I was lucky to have spotted this bird, even though the nest is many hundreds of feet away.

Excellent photo of this magnificent bird. I have seenI have seen quite a few of these birds here in Mississippi, but never in this color. I wonder if it s a breeding plumage.
