Where did the beach go?

Where did the beach go?
Lake Huron, Port Sanilac, Michigan.

Two years ago my friend and I walked here to the point. I was told that a very heavy storm two weeks ago pushed the lake water up to this level. There is great damage to the entire shore along the lake.

We were in Port Sanilac last month and walked to the end of the jetty. Is this the beach just north of the jetty? I looked at Google Earth. Your Panoramio photos are still there. They are easy to find because of the bilingual captions.

This little roadside park is by Washington Street off Lakeshore Drive (M25, or the old name Gratiot), south of Port Sanilac, about 3 miles.
