Thank you very much for your nice response, cp_u! I haven't been out with my camera much, it is so very cold. Today my husband drew my attention to this woodpecker on our tree. He comes quite often now to the suet cake feeder on our garage.

Thanks, Ron! You're right, there are a few feathers on his belly that have some color. The buds look like that all winter and the severe cold weather the past few days have not made any difference in how they look. Today 4" snow, then rain all afternoon, very strange for this time of year.
