Eastern towhee (Pipilo erythrophthalmus)

Eastern towhee (Pipilo erythrophthalmus)
The weather has become unusually cold (-10C as I write this) and snowy in Mississippi recently. Birds that we rarely see came to the feeder today.

Fred Fouarge, Jörg, Doug Shepherd, Danielle and 9 other people have particularly liked this photo

Heureusement qu'il y a des personnes qui pensent a eux comme vous en remplissant leurs mangeoires... Bon mardi.

What a beauty! They seem to be similar in shape to our Sparrow, but with much more interesting plumage. Nicely spotted and taken Ronald, it's always good to see something new visiting the feeders!

These birds are accustomed to finding seeds on the ground. Now that is difficult because of the snow. Thank you for the visit, Malik.
