Yes. There are several lakes in the Noxubee NWR. This photo was taken about three miles from the alligator. There are alligators at this place, too. Just behind my back as I took this photo is a place where young alligators congregate in the winter.

Yes, Fred, the correct description of this is a swamp. It is a lake with standing trees. Officially, it is called Loakfoma Lake, and this little bay is called Doyle Arm.
