Der Körper lässt sich mit den Fingern von unten nach oben durchdrücken (umkrempeln) und zeigt so 4 verschiedene Varianten der entsprechend gestalteten Tetraederflächen, die im PiP gezeigt werden. Der Kaleidozyklus besteht aus einer geraden Anzahl von miteinander verbundenen Tetraedern (Definition).
Bekannt wurde diese wundersame und dekorative mathematische Spielerei durch die weltweite Verbreitung der Arbeiten von M.C.Escher zu diesem Thema.
Mein obiges Exemplar ist schon etliche Male durchgedreht worden und sieht daher schon reichlich lädiert aus - aber er lässt sich immer noch drehen (s.PiP)!
