... hier ein aktueller Schnappschuß von der Baustelle Museumsinsel. Die James-Simon- Galerie, der neue Eingangsbereich zu den 5 Museen, ist fast fertig ! Dieser geradlinige, moderne Entwurf von David Chipperfield war lange umstritten. Ich denke aber, er setzt einen feinen Kontrast zu all den historischen Gebäuden drumherum (rechts: das Neue Museum; die Kräne hinten werkeln noch am Pergamon-Museum).
