Today I gave three of my albums a new name:

  • "Some old photos" (was: "Photos I have on flickr, too")
  • "More old photos" (was: "Photos I have lowres on flickr")
  • "New photos shot before day#0" (was: "Photos I don't have on flickr")
  • "New photos shot after day#0" (not renamed)

This has two benefits: 1. The term "flickr" is no longer part of the titles, and 2. I can now add new photos at flickr without having to change a set on ipernity. I also added album descriptions:

  • "This is a random collection of photos, I had in full resolution on flickr first."
  • "This is a random collection of photos I have in a lower resolution on flickr, too."
  • "This is a random collection of photos I either don't have on flickr yet or had on ipernity first. All shots are taken before November 3rd, 2008 (the day I joined ipernity)."
  • This is a random collection of photos I either don't have on flickr yet or had on ipernity first. All shots are taken after November 3rd, 2008 (the day I joined ipernity).

And I added album detail views. On albums visitors have the two options of thumbnails and slideshow view, but there's no detail view, whereas on tags there are three options (thumbnails, slideshow and detail). I want my visitors to have a detail view on albums, so I had to tag album membership. With the DocManager this was possible in batch mode. I added a link to the corresponding tag views in the album descriptions. Fortunately tag views are much faster than on flickr (there unusably slow there).

Unfortunately the option of a large view is available on the stream, only. I have a link to the large view in my profile.

Bottom line of this blog entry: After the feed of my newly taken photos, there's now a detail view, too.
