  • My driveway is showing me that Spring is on its way..

    Primroses lining the drive
I went out on Tuesday to go to the doctors to make an appointment but mainly to give the car a run. I'm finding it harder and harder walking up the driveway nowadays, my back tends to go into spasms, but the main excuse is the giddiness. The extreme unbalanced feeling I have everytime I stand up is so sick making, that really that's the main reason I don't walk far nowadays. There is nothing they can do about that - vertigo at its worse. So I just have to put up with it. Some days are better tha…

  • I've started another toy..........

A gift for the little boy who's about to meet his new baby brother
Yvonne really liked the elephant and apparently the baby has to be born by caesarian section so Yvonne will have advanced warning when her second grandchild will be born. There's already a youngster who's about to meet his baby brother and I thought that maybe I'd make him a soft toy too so he wouldn't feel left out. It's much easier to sew this one because the material is fleece and it doesn't slide around. I'm still having to sew it by hand because the fleece is very thick and I don't wan…

  • My new soft toy

    Ellis is finished.
Well I've finally finished my toy and it's on its way to its new home. Yvonne came up this afternoon for a chat and I was able to give the toy to her? It's for her soon-to-be- born grandson. This is it....... Originally it had a smaller trunk, which was a topic of merriment with Mandi and Dogan, so I had to make a longer version. So this is definitely an unique toy. Now I'm going to start on a little giraffe for her other grandson, I don't want him to feel left out when the New a…

  • what's going on

Dear friendly people of ipernity, What's going on right now ? the head of the team is negotiating with several potential buyers. One seems to be really serious. But nothing is done. What am I doing ? I'm actually reading all your comments (hundreds...) on the latest articles and collecting informations/data on your feelings, ideas, support etc.. thus, to use it to make a "at the moment" state of ipernity. (We may share a survey poll soon) Which means I have fewer time to reply to the su…

  • A Long, Dark, Sad Night

In his A History of the English-Speaking Peoples , Winston Churchill wrote: Every nation or group of nations has its own tale to tell. Knowledge of the trials and struggles is necessary to all who would comprehend the problems, perils, challenges, and opportunities which confront us today... It is in the hope that contemplation of the trials and tribulations of our forefathers may not only fortify the English-speaking peoples of today, but also play some small part in uniting the whole wor…

  • SEANCE

  • A Journey through Spring

One moment in early March, the ground was covered by snow. Despite lengthening days, the late-starting winter of 2015-16 struggled to hang on. But seemingly the next moment, all the snow was gone. Where snow and ice had once hugged the earth, the landscape blushed in the growing colors of spring. Each passing day, the mild breezes of a rising spring kissed new life into the once-barren landscape. Soon, the ground was covered in an extraordinary explosion of daffodils. Everywhere one looke…

  • I took a small stroll up the driveway and then the garden.....

Even right down to the road, those bluebells are everywhere
I felt quite good today, so I thought it would be fine for me to have a good stroll down the driveway - the wind is still exceedingly cold, so I didn't want to be silly and risk a cold, I managed to walk down the drive to the road and back up again!! It's been months since I was able to do that. I feel so good that I've managed it. I've never known so many bluebells lining the drive before. I've put my photos up for you to see, but am only going to add some on here for you... And when I…

  • A gorgeous sunny day but the wind is still polar

The bluebells are thick in the driveway
It was such a lovely day today that I thought a trip out would be in order, so I drove to Instow beach. It was quiet to start with but then gradually the crowds appeared. As luck would have it the only car parking space happened to be directly in front of the Hockings Icecream van!!! I thought I would treat myself, and counted out my change. I was 10p over the price of a small cornet, so I thought I would enjoy having that whilst I sat on the bench. There were queues for this van and having sat…

  • Am back home...........

Hiya folks, this is just a short and sweet visit. Well the news is good in the fact that the operation is over and I haven't had another stent put in, so that should mean no more operations and I can now start to get better. Like last time though, I'm still feeling very weak and still in pain. So it may be a while before I can come back in full strength, so please bear with me. I hope things are good with you all. See you soon x
