After a funny turn last night I am back and fighting fit today. When I was talking to Jenny I felt very strange and unable to focus on what she was saying and my attention kept wandering. This worried Jenny and she wanted me to wake Ellen up or ring 999. I needed to go to the sit upon for the umpteenth time but Jenny hung on until I returned. I poured myself a brandy and water and after a couple of sips felt a lot better.
When Jenny left I pondered the day to find a cause,it wasn't difficult to see it was all through my stupidity.

Check my food intake for yesterday compared to my normal day like today,taking into account walking into town,round the shops a lugging two heavy bags to the bus stop and then home.
Breakfast A coffee- Today it was 3 shredded wheat with hot milk and sugar Plus coffee and a pint of sugar free Orange cordial
Morning nothing- Today coffee and a couple of biscuits
Lunch A cheese pasty and coffee-Today 2 sausage rolls drown in cream of tomato soup and coffee.
Afternoon nothing-Today a pint of orange cordial followed later by coffee and biscuits.
Dinner chicken soup with bread- today roast chicken,deep fat fryer chips and green beans with gravy
Afters nothing -today sponge pudding with vanilla custard followed by another orange cordial.

It wasn't until I realised I had starved myself yesterday of both food and water I realised I was dehydrated and the symptoms I had point to that as well.
I am normally good at taking care of my intake and have no idea how I managed to ignore it's needs yesterday. Thankfully today I am back to normal after a predictably shaky start with a lesson I already knew etched deeper into my feeble brain.
