Well the EX Hurricane Bertha is now departing my area without much damage reported.
While there are damage reports from other parts of the country we seem to have got away with it.We have had an extraordinary amount of rain but the strongest winds reported overnight were around 60mph that's mid 90s in kph.
The wind and rain will continue all day but easing back all the time.
I took advantage of the bad weather to bring the top of my high rise bird feeder in for a tart up. I rubbed it down and gave it a couple of coats of Hammerite and let it dry and harden overnight. Now it's shiny as a new paint and weather proof for another year.
Lots to do this morning, it is too windy to put the feeder back out yet so that will wait but in the meantime I have a wash done and in the dryer and the veg prepped for a lamb hot pot which I am off to sort out now and put in the slow cooker.
I hope all are safe after the storms.catch you soon
