With the help of my son Stephen I managed to get the canopy roof repaired. We had to dodge some very hefty showers but got there in the end. Some of the timber cross braces are rotting but they will do until next spring when I will replace the whole roof.It is only a small flat roof 2 metres by one so it won't be expensive. I have wood for some parts and I am sure Allan will have something to do the rest. The roof itself I will probably make out of marine ply and double felt skin it.
The rain has set in for the day now I think so no more messing around in the garden. If the weather bureau is correct tomorrow we are back to blue skies.
Other than that things are pretty quiet here all I can hear is the patter of summer rain on the window, not an unpleasant sound and the air certainly feels fresher, catch you soon.
