The weather is going to be wet but this morning (Saturday) the sun was trying and the morning turned out fine.
With that in mind I decided to take a nice quiet morning on my shopping trip.
I arrived in town and headed for the market. First stop the butchers and my meat shopping and it being still early a chat with the butcher.Leaving there I went to the fruiterers and there I met an old school friend Pat. We were at school together and run into each other now and again.
We decided to go to the Market cafe for coffee and bacon buns. Pat told me she has also joined the great grandparent club and the family were all well.
We parted with a hug and I headed to Herons for the rest of my shop. I headed for the cool shelves for cheese and that's when the day took a bad turn. On an end rack there was in full view of decent folk were shelves full of chocolates, biscuits (cookies to Americans) and cake all done up in their CHRISTMAS LIVERY!"
I couldn't beleiveit, this means the end of peaceful shopping as all the stores will be assaulting our ears with Christmas jingle from now on.
There is also a TV channel showing Christmas films for 24hours a day.
