The day is wild and squally so I am cabined up.
I was searching for an old photo when I came across this set from one of my walks to the wild north end of the island.
This is my favourite place for a hike. Everyday the landscape, seascape and sky changes. The vegetation too differs as the seasons change. The only thing that remains the same is the chalet park at the edge of the walk.
Once past there you are away from all cars and traffic noise, all you here are the sounds of nature and if you sit still you may see a kestrel,or be buzzed by insects of all sizes, some beautifully coloured some dark and menacing looking for someone to bite. In the ponds you can hear fish plopping and maybe spot the odd natter-jack toad.
This place is a little piece of untamed nature and a perfect way to spend some time and under an hours walk from home. I hope you like the photos of my little piece of heave.
