Idiots have been thin on the ground here of late but today I hit the jackpot. With it being a damp rainy day I decided to flash the pass and hitch a ride to town. The trip started quietly enough, there was only a woman with two children at the first stop but at the second I hit a gold seam of beauties. After a few sane people got on I noticed the cluster of nitwits ready and waiting. This brought a smile to my face,I do love idiots.First on was a woman who never stops grumbling and telling the other passengers to be quiet, she was followed by the prize catch, The man in the fedora hat and one of those stupid plug in the ear music players. His strong suit is talking to the driver every time he gets on a bus and making the timetable even more a work of fiction than normal.today he asked where he would get off the bus to end up back where he started. This bemused the driver somewhat as it did me. It is not rocket science to get off a bus at the place you got on. This exchange took a good 3 or 4 minutes with the grumpy woman shouting abuse the whole time. When fedora man finally sat down it was across from grumpy woman. A lively exchange was guaranteed and so it proved.

Next on board was the talker, who seems to or pretends to know everybody in the world and chatters non stop to anybody who will listen. He button holed a young lady and added his rather loud voice to the cacophony of sound from the front seats. So we finally got under way only to be joined a couple of stops down the road by the grunter. This man is scruffy and not too clean and speaks in a low gruff voice. Most of his conversations, which he conducts as a solo effort with no listener needed, don't resemble any language known to man.

Sadly I had to leave this traveling circus a stop or two before them but had a good 20 minutes free entertainment. After that the trip was routine, a lot quieter but not as much fun.
