I've had to choose my photo for this week's theme, but yet again I've struggled to decide which one. I've spent hours looking through my albums this afternoon and in my mind I can see the photos I'm trying to find, but can I find them - er no.....

So these are my two choices.... the first one is the gorgeous Autumn coloured trees lining the River Torridge one evening. These trees are so lovely and dense but within a couple of months were quite bare and skeletol. Still they soon dressed themselves within a few months with small buds which turn into gorgeous green clothes............

Then there's this view of Lynmouth looking up towards Lynton. The valleys and hills are covered with so many trees which in the summer look so great, but in the winter these trees are bare and you can see how the land lies. What a great place for a hotel and the view they have is gorgeous - across the sea........

This was the site for a terrible disaster in 1952 when after horrendous rain lasting days, the river sent huge amounts of water down the valley, which in turn took away the houses etc edging the water and totally destroyed the little village of Lynmouth. It's all been rebuilt of course, but it was an awful thing to happen.
