Well folks - it's almost here, although I must admit that it won't really be much different than any other day here in my home. Obviously Mandi can't get back here as hoped, and Tony will be spending Christmas Day with Stevie's parents, their children and her brother plus family. Apparently Ann from next door is going up to be with her mum and sisters, Richard and Joyce have their house full as will Yvonne and her hubby. To be honest with you - if I can't be with my children, then I would rather be on my own. I've got a choice of lamb, beef or pork for my Christmas Day lunch with a gorgeous winter berries and lemon roulade!!! I'll be honest - I'm really proud of myself for not having already tucked into that roulade - it's been in the freezer for three weeks now and I have to be very strong when I see it every time I open the lid!!!!!

So apart from wrapping up the pressies etc, I've managed to make some different pendants. I decided to try some new addition to colouring the resin - it's a powder and I chose to use the bronze one. I was very pleased with the effect - what do you think?

Then I put the resin into a couple of outline shapes and I just love the way the bronze colour makes its own patterns as it dried. I'm going to try some more of that powder - I think I have about 10 different coloured powders.

Then today I used some dried " baby's breath flowers" and added a couple of bigger flowers that I snipped off...

Then I decided to do two contrasting colours in the pendants...

I added tiny reflective beads in the last lot, so they catch the light. Finally I made a pair of earrings with the same flowers as the newer pendants, in case I'd like them to match.

I keep telling myself to look at the plastic tubs, which are full of patchwork materials etc - and start finishing off the quilt I'd started about three years ago. Now, of course, I have different ideas for patterns - and people wonder if I'm bored being alone at home!!! LOL. There just aren't enough hours in the day to do everything I want to do. I used to love cooking and making lots of desserts or pies etc, but I can't stand to cook anymore and it's only for one - so not really encouraging enough for me. Maybe 2022 will change that idea in my head, and I'll start cooking again. You never know - I might just be posting pictures of cooking instead of pendants!! You have been warned.

Lastly I'd just like to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and I hope you all enjoy your days. Apparently chocolates don't have any calories during Christmas!!!! Please stay safe - this Omicron virus is very virulent and people are catching it all over the place. I'm still waiting for them to come and give me my booster jab, but they are completely overrun with people wanting the same. So as I don't go out and spend most of my time alone, they probably don't see me as an urgent case but I really hope they won't forget me. They keep saying that I'm at the top of the list, but no-one's actually coming out to give the jabs!!! So if you are offered it - PLEASE TAKE IT. There are enough people dying of this virus in the world and everything seems to have come to a complete stop these past couple of years. Help us all by having the jabs and we'll beat this pandemic.

Okay folks, take care and have a very merry Christmas.
