Hiya folks, well I firstly want to say a massive thankyou to all of you who commented on my daughter's photos. She was so taken with them and was very touched. She hadn't realised that she has an eye for photos, and even though I've said it many times, she didn't believe me because I'm her mum and therefore biased!!!! So with perfect strangers saying it - she believes it!!!
She has said, however, that maybe she'll get a better phone with a great camera, because she never goes anywhere without her phone and if she'd had to fiddle about getting her camera out and getting it in focus, she would have lost a lot of her photos like the ones you've seen, because especially in the cases of the sunset, they only lasted a couple of minutes and she'd have lost them trying to sort out her camera. In that case, I can fully understand her wanting to upgrade her phone. I've got a spare camera though, so she could always have that.
Well back to the title of this blog...... what is going on with this weather? Everywhere on this planet seems to have a really bad time lately with the weather - either extremely hot in Australia, or freezing cold in parts of the US and what about Europe and the incredible amount of snow dumped there? Even in Turkey, well the part where Mandi lives, snow is almost as rare as hens teeth - well this year they had snow!! Also they have had an incredible amount of rainfall. They've had floods and pot holes appearing everywhere, landslides from the mountains and sink holes because of the rain!!
Then we come to the UK - the weather forecasters say that we can expect rain, hail, sleet, snow, strong winds etc yet yesterday we had blue skies and sunshine!! Today though, it's been really cold and we've had strong winds making the cat flap flapping inwards making it almost horizontal - bringing in the very cold air. Also it rained nearly all day and my cat, Pippin, complained about the rain as he hates going out to do his business in the wet!!!! Anyone would think he was annoyed because I couldn't stop the rain!!! Well he's flat out on the carpet as I write this, warming himself next to the fire!!!
Apparently we can expect snow tomorrow - but I won't hold my breath, they seem to forget my particular town when they start forecasting!!!! However the big white blog covering my part of the country on the weather board, may actually indicate we might have snow - if so, then I'll be out taking pictures!!! It's such a rareity here too.
I hope you all are safe and warm and you don't have any awful weather problems
We had a really heavy hailstorm then sun!!!!

Updating her phone may help but modern cameras are fully automatic regarding distance, light, focussing etc, etc so she would not be fiddling around trying to get it right, just point and click as she does with her phone. Reccomended camers, Canon, Nikon and Olympus all make very nice pocket cameras. I have an older Canon PowerShot, Mickey has a newer model of the same, my Thai friend Nantiya had an Olympus. Many of the photos on my page were taken by her using that camera.
Weather the same here too; We had glorious sunshine Monday though it was bitterly cold, rain then snow Tuesday, Wednesday it's a hard frost with snow flurries. Just glad I don't have to go out today. As for the rest; they say it's global changes though weather on this planet often has spikes and troughs, some bad years, some good years.
