These last couple of weeks have been so busy with visits to hospitals etc that I've just come home sometimes and collapsed in a semi-wet heap on the couch, not really wanting to move anywhere!!!!

I now have a complete week with nothing penned in, so it means I can relax and take things easy before the following week which has around 3 appointments already penned in. I thought you were supposed to take things easy when you were in your old age!!!!

So yesterday when the optician was here, I had a wonderful suprise when my son called and said he was bringing up the kids this afternoon for a visit. It was a perfect end to the week.

So this morning they turned up with arms outstretched for one or two of Nana's hugs. They are so delightful those kids. Considering the way they'd been brought up with their biological mother, it's a wonder that they are so grounded.

He's going to be a heart breaker when he gets older!!!!

Chloe had gorgeous hair and she showed me her new bow...

The kids obviously love their dad, while they were here, they spent a lot of time wanting to either sit next to him, or in Josh's case - on his lap. He's working so hard too, with studying to get his degrees in media, attend college and have a part-time job with a tv company. He's tired but he's having a wonderful life.

We went for a trip out to see the beach and first went to Instow but they seemed to be more interested in playing with their Nintendo gameboys!!! Meanwhile I loved it not having been there for months and months.

The tide was almost out and this is the view towards Bideford..... as you can see there weren't a lot of people on the beach...

There were a few dogs having the time of their lives in and out of the water and just racing up and down the beach.

It was a tad breezy and cardigans and fleeces were the required dress code, to keep us from freezing....

A young seagull came to stay near us, and I wondered if he was one of mine - he seemed to stay with us for the whole time we were there. If he is, then he's a very good looking seagull......

We then went for a drive to Appledore and we showed them where we used to live when their dad was born and then we went to West Appledore to show them where he and their aunty Mandi used to play as children....

There was a trimaran beached but it was hovering quite precariously over a gulley, still I noticed that the owner took advantage of it's situation by being able to get at the hull to clean it. The wind was definitely picking up, so we only stayed there a short while, with Tony and the kids going onto the rocks to search the rock pools.

I'm going to grab his hair one day and cut it off - he's too old now for long hair, but he's also his own man. So I'll just have to put up with it I suppose. Still the rest of him and his personality more than makes up for it all. He's still the same gentle kind
man that he's always been. He works so hard and just wants to provide for his family - he's never given me any worries in all his life - that's certainly something to be proud of. Now he's opened his heart for these two children to give them love and stability and to be part of his family. Oh I am proud of him. You all know how I feel about Mandi, so this is just about Tony today.

Tomorrow is F1 race in Singapore and I'm going to just sit down and enjoy it.
