I know the UK is flooded in many places, but my daughter was coming for a visit today and I had no idea of the state of the roads. Had I known I'd have told her to stay home.

A journey which normally takes about an hour and a half took her over two and a half hours. These photos following will probably explain why..................

You can see how bad it is. The police were closing roads as she was trying to drive along them. This photo was taken last night just at the bottom of her road.............



Last night as I was on the phone speaking to Mickey, I kept saying that I thought I was hearing thunder - it wasn't thunder, it was the wind !!!!! We had gusts of up to 100mph and two people were killed because of the floods and wind.

Apparently this weather front hasn't finished with us, we can expect 60mm of rain between now and tomorrow night!!!! Needless to say, I am very glad that I live on a hill and don't go out!
