    Authentic Cajun, Bobby Charles (Guidry) wrote "Hey Alligator" for his group The Cardinals at the of fourteen. This song morphed into "Later Alligator" (Guidry) and in 1955 he had it released on the Chicago based Chess Records who thought he was black.
