The Quinto Sisters (Bonnie, Chris, Cindy, Elaine, Lee and Renee) were first to record the Johnny Marks Christmas classic "A Holly Jolly Christmas". This is from their Columbia album "Holly Jolly Christmas". The Jewish Mr. Marks also wrote "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" and "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree".
"A Holly Jolly Christmas" (Johnny Marks) came to fame after it was recorded by Burl Ives for the 1964 Christmas television special "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" with the entire score composed by Johnny Marks. The slower hit recording by Burl Ives was produced the next year for his album "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas". This version charted in the top thirty several times over the next many decades.
