Once a member of The Brotherhood of Man, Heather Wheatman aka "Sunny" (Leslie) recorded "Doctor's Orders" (Stephens - Greenaway - Cook) and it became a U.K./European hit. Sunny and her sister Yvonne were once session singers working with Frank Zappa, Tom Jones, David Bowie, Joe Cocker, Elton John, Dusty Springfield, Lulu, T. Rex, James Last and Mott the Hoople.
Carol Douglas' (Carolyn Strickland aka Carolyn Cook) cover of "Doctor's Orders" peaked at number eleven on Billboard's Top One Hundred, number two Dance and top ten on the R&B charts in 1974. Carol was the daughter of Minnie Newsome. a jazz artist who was the may have been the inspiration for the Cab Calloway hit "Minnie the Moocher", her father was a mortician, Sam Cooke was her cousin. At ten, Carol Douglas was a contestant and winner on the show "Name That Tune".
