"Ninety Miles an Hour (Down a Dead End Street) was composed by the team of Hal Blair and Don Robertson who wrote a lot of music for Elvis Presley and his movies. Don played piano for Elvis, Chet Atkins, Duane Eddy and Nat "King" Cole.
This is country music without qualification. In 1963 Hank "The Singing Ranger" Snow crossed over into the bottom of the pop chart and peaked a number two on the Country chart with "Ninety Miles an Hour (Down a Dead End Street). What must have been the Anita Kerr Singers were busy people.
