I'm the retired director of communication from the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. Prior to my work in osteopathic medicine, I taught journalism at both Marshall and Murray State universities. I have a Ph.D. in journalism/mass communication from Ohio University. My hobbies are amateur radio, history (particularly the Civil War era), genealogy and photography. Since 2019 I've been the commander of the John S. Townsend Camp 108, Department of Ohio, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.
