PIP TO BE SEEN IN ORIGINAL SIZE
Yesterday new moon disappeared on the horizon and the sky was very dark but full of stars. No milky way at that hour...
I still have to learn a lot about astrophoto, will try better next month! And use a tripod instead of a dry stone wall !!!!!!
Good night everybody!

The building, apparently from the 16th century, appears quite simple architecturally, with only a small porch resting on simple classical marble columns. Also simple, but of granite, is the main door, topped by an oval porthole.
In turn, the interior surprises us with the impressive profusion of tile panels, the ones in the nave being attributed, by Túlio Espanca, to Policarpo de Oliveira Bernardes, Lisbon's great master of this art in the 18th century. This set, which is the ex-libris of the church, represents themes from the works of Mercy, the Life of the Virgin Mary, the Marriage of Esther and the Beheading of Holofernes.

The Castle of Evoramonte, alternately spelled Évora Monte or Évoramonte, (Portuguese: Castelo de Évora Monte/Castelo de Evoramonte) is a Portuguese castle in the civil parish of Evoramonte, municipality of Estremoz in the former district of Évora. Initiated in 1160, in the Gothic period, it was enlarged in later centuries in the Manueline style. It was at this site that the Concession of Evoramonte (or the Convention of Evoramonte) on was signed on 26 May 1834, that ended Liberal Wars between the Liberal forces of Queen Maria II of Portugal (under the regency of her father Peter VI of Portugal) and Absolutist armies of Miguel of Portugal.[1] Since 1910, it has been listed as a Portuguese National monument.

ESTRELINHA IS OLD NOW AND NOT VERY RESISTANT, SPECIALLY ON HOT DAYS. I HAVE A BACKPACK FOR HER AND SHE SEEMS HAPPY LIKE THAT, AS LONG AS WE ARE TOGETHER...
YOU MAY THINK IT WAS A COLD DAY BUT NO. ONE OF THE SECRETS TO DEAL WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES OUTSIDE AND NOT GET SUNBURNT IS BEING COVERED AND DRINK WARM TEA.
