O jardim, com rega à nora, foi projectado de acordo com o que eram os espaços agrícolas e de fruição dos antigos castelos medievais. The garden, with its irrigation system, was designed in accordance with the agricultural and leisure areas of the old medieval castles.

PIP ABOVE Classificado como monumento nacional, o Castelo de Viana do Alentejo compreende um conjunto arquitetónico composto atualmente por três elementos distintos: recinto amuralhado, Igreja Matriz de Nossa Senhora da Anunciação e Igreja da Misericórdia. Com algumas fontes históricas a colocarem a génese desta estrutura no reinado de D. Dinis (1279-1325), como sendo do mesmo período da outorga do primeiro foral da vila alentejana (1313), investigações mais recentes parecem apontar para uma construção posterior. Com cinco torres cilíndricas e duas portas de acesso, abrigou na sua disposição os primitivos Paços do Concelho, o primeiro cemitério da vila e a primitiva Igreja Matriz, consagrada a Santa Maria de Foxem. +++++ Classified as a national monument, Viana do Alentejo Castle comprises an architectural complex currently made up of three distinct elements: the walled enclosure, the Igreja Matriz de Nossa Senhora da Anunciação and the Igreja da Misericórdia. With some historical sources placing the genesis of this structure in the reign of D. Dinis (1279-1325), as being from the same period as the granting of the first charter of the Alentejo town (1313), more recent research seems to point to a later construction. With five cylindrical towers and two access doors, it housed in its layout the primitive Town Hall, the first cemetery of the village and the primitive Mother Church, consecrated to Santa Maria de Foxem.
