Lobster stuffed ravioli at Taverna Azzurra in Sorr…

Our driver, Mario, took us to Taverna Azzurra, a lovely restaurant located in the fishing village of Marina Grande in Sorrento on the Bay of Naples. Our table was outside so we had a wonderful view of the bay. We had visited Pompeii and were on our way back to Positano. The owner, Gennaro, took such lovely care of us and treated us to bruschetta and lemoncello!! Perfect way to end a fabulous day!
Thank you all for visiting and for your gracious and appreciated comments! I wish I could thank each of you personally.

I don't remember the name of this church (there were so many on our trip). The interior is spectacular and I hope I captured it well.

The wine country in Tuscany captures you. Everywhere you look, there are scenes that draw you in whether vineyards, villages, or roads through beautiful scenery. Or something as simple, as these rows of grapes.

Antique Automobile Show - In the 50's and early 60's, car hops would roller skate to cars at drive-in restaurants and take your food and drink order. Usually, hamburgers, cokes and sundaes! {:o)

February and Autumn in Tampa
|

February brings autumn to Tampa. Our spring can be one (1) Tuesday in April and winter can bring below freezing temperatures to turn plants and grass brown before Christmas (and we can wear shorts on Christmas Day) or it can be a few scattered days/weeks in January and February. But, we will definitely, definitely have seven (7) months of hot and humid summer!!!!!!!! {:o)

From the shape and petals, this could be related to or a form of hibiscus, but not sure. Please try viewing large.

Ybor City (EE-bor) is a historic neighborhood in Tampa, Florida located just northeast of downtown. It was founded in the 1880s by cigar manufacturers and was populated by thousands of immigrants, mainly from Spain, Cuba, and Italy. For the next 50 years, workers in Ybor City's cigar factories would roll millions of cigars annually.
The neighborhood had features unusual among contemporary immigrant communities in the southern United States, most notably its multi-ethnic and multi-racial population and their many mutual aid societies. A slow exodus out of the area that began during the Great Depression accelerated after World War II, leading to a period of abandonment and decay. After decades of neglect, a portion of the original neighborhood has redeveloped into a night club and entertainment district.
The neighborhood has been designated as a National Historic Landmark District, and several structures in the area are listed in the National Register of Historic Places. In 2008, 7th Avenue, the main commercial thoroughfare in Ybor City, was recognized as one of the “10 Great Streets in America” by the American Planning Association.

Nothing like a windy day when you want to shoot macro. It took quite a bit of patience ... {:o) Thanks to Don, the flower has been identified as Lindheimer's Beeblossom. I did a little research, and it certainly appears that's what it is.
